With 73 points, Nick Petersen was the best scorer in the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League last season. Especially in the postseason, the Canadian shone, which is why he was named Playoffs MVP. Since today, Friday, it is certain that the 32-years-old forward will play for the "Rotjacken" in the coming season too and will aim for the third title with Klagenfurt.

"I am very happy that I can continue to play for the EC-KAC. My daughter and I feel enormously comfortable in Klagenfurt, for us as a small family it's a great place to live. From a sporting point of view, things are also going ideally: we have a close-knit team that can play very good and successful hockey. It will be exciting to be back in action at the international level in the Champions Hockey League, and we are also looking forward to next season in the league, where we will try to follow up our two championship titles in a row with a third," commented Nick Petersen on his contract extension with the KAC.
