League’s best goal scorer heads to Asiago

Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey signed Alex Frei on a one-year deal. Frei held league’s record in goals, scoring 106 in the past four seasons for the Rittner Buam. Further, HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice and HK SZ Olimpija Ljubljana announced contract extensions.

Alex Frei left Rittner Buam and moved to league rival Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey. The champion of 2018 signed the forward for the upcoming season. With 106 goals in total, the 26-year-old holds league’s record in goals, reached in the past four seasons at Ritten. Overall, he collected 186 points out of 173 games. Further, he is a four-time Italian champion and current member of the Italian national team.



Contract extensions at Jesenice and Ljubljana
HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice announced three more contract extensions, as the Slovenian side resigned Jaka Sodja, Aljosa Crnovic and Blaz Tomazevic. With Jaka (31 points) and Tomazevic (48), Jesenice could keep two of the three best scorers of past season’s roster. However, HK SZ Olimpija Ljubljana renewed the contract with Miha Logar, who scored 24 points past season.
