The SHC Fassa Falcons got their first win at the eighth attempt in Jesenice, as Goalie Thomas Lillie led the Italians to a 2-1 road win after a shootout with 37 saves. EK Die Zeller Eisbären prevailed at home against Klagenfurt in front of 1,738 spectators and extended its lead in the table.
Ritchie Nolan shone for HC Meran/o Pirchner with six points (2G|4A), while EC Bregenzerwald overcame a three-goal deficit after 22 minutes against Celje. The Steel Wings Linz benefited from two goals in the first 193 seconds of their surprising 3-2 home win against fourth-placed Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan, while HC Gherdeina valgardena.it picked up another win on the road.

Defending champions SIJ Acroni Jesenice were beaten by SHC Fassa Falcons in front of their home crowd for the first time on Saturday evening, as the Italians secured their 2-1 road win in the shootout, winning for the third time in a row. Goalie Thomas Lillie, who recorded a shutout against Merano on Thursday, once again excelled, stopping 37 shots on goal. Sebastian Selin scored the decisive penalty.

With the Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan, a second team from the top 4 also had to admit defeat: The South Tyroleans lost 2-3 at the Steel Wings Linz. The Upper Austrians benefited from two quick goals, leading 2-0 after 193 seconds thanks to goals from Laurin Liesch (3.) and Mikael Saha (4.) and goalie Benedikt Oschgan, who recorded a total of 40 saves. Linz celebrated their fourth home win in a row.

Leaders extend Klagenfurt's losing streak
Alps Hockey League leaders EK Die Zeller Eisbären won 3-2 at home against the EC-KAC Future Team. In front of 1,738 spectators, the line around Fabio Artner, Nick Huard and Tomi Wilenius decided the game: Huard (50.) and Artner (52.) scored from 1-1 to 3-1 within 94 seconds. Klagenfurt was thus also beaten in its eighth road game in a row, losing its tenth game en suite overall.

Meanwhile, EC Bregenzerwald extended its home point streak: With a 7-4 home win over HK RST Pellet Celje, the "Wälder" also took points in their ninth home game this season and thus moved up to sixth place in the table. The team from Vorarlberg showed comeback qualities, overturning a 0-3 deficit after 22 minutes of play. Erik Embrich (2G|5A) and Roberts Lipsbergs (1G|4A) scored five points each.

Nolan Ritchie posts six-point game
Nolan Ritchie gave HC Meran/o Pircher an 8-4 home win in its duel with the Hockey Unterland Cavaliers, as the 21-year-old center recorded six points, scored twice and posted four primary assists. Meran never trailed in this game and inflicted its third defeat in a row on Unterland.

Fourth road-win for Gherdeina
HC Gherdeina valgardena.it picked up its fourth win from its last five road games, as the South Tyroleans triumphed 3-1 at EC Die Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel, with goalie Hannes Stoll recording 40 saves.
