A largely uneventful first period saw the Orli side, coming off the back of a loss in Fehervar two days before, take the initiative with some good early chances. Their hard work was rewarded when a mistake in the Hungarians' zone allowed Jan Lattner to shoot unblocked from the slot high past Carruth with 6:42 played.

The visitors needed a better start in period two, and were to get it. David Gilbert finished off some crisp passing on an odd-man rush to  tie the game after 55 seconds; and then just under nine minutes later Fehervar took the lead - the puck kept alive in the zone on the blue line by Brett Palin, and then tipped in by Olivier Latendresse. The home side had a PP chance to tie the game but didn't create much, and then on another man advantage were undone by themselves - Janos Hari skating into the offensive zone, deking the defenseman before going hit into the net to score and make it 3-1 at 38:36.

Orli again were unable to make use of an extra skater as they wasted another couple of PP opportunities in the final period. The hosts had some shots on Carruth as they chased the game, but nothing to give the visiting netminder any real trouble. Late in the game, the home side called a timeout and pulled the goalie to try and force a goal and a way back into things. However, the gamble backfired as David Gilbert added his second of the game on the breakaway into the empty net at 58:28 to seal the game and hand Fehervar a 4-1 victory.

This result means that the Hungarian side have won both games in Znojmo this season, the other coming after Overtime.

VSV ends 3-game losing streak against Graz
Villach came out ahrd and Valentin Leiler opened the scoring after six minutes when he fired a puck home that came back from the boards. Hickmott only hit the post later in the period but the hosts doubled it in the midle frame when Markus Schlacher went top shelf. At the halfway point of the game Oliver Setzinger pulled one back with a deflection but Andrew Sarauer restored Villach's two-goal lead even before the second intermission. Soon after restart Setzinge rhalved the deficit with his second of the night but this time Benjamin Petrik extended Villach's lead. With six seconds to go Sarauer rounded off the scoring with an empty netter. VSV ended their three-game losing streak while Graz suffered a 7th successive road defeat.

Innsbruck wins another Tirolean derby
Sold out crowd in Innsbruck but just a few highlights in the opening period. Late in the first took advantage of a defensive mistake of Innsbruck to take the lead for Bolzano. While the hosts missed some good chances in the middle frame, Alex Petan doubled the score after 27 minutes. Now Innsbruck was wounded but the sharks came back in the third. First Hutner Bishop poked the puck over the line and with ten minutes to go John Lammers tied it at two. With no more goals in regulation and overtime, the game was decided in the shootout. Here Innsbruck earned the extra points thanks to Tyler Spurgeon and Andrew Yogan.

Black Wings earn comeback-win against Vienna
The Caps won the last four games between these two sides by only one goal each. This night they got off a better start again with Jamie Fraser opening the scoring. In the 16th minute a blue liner by McKiernan found its way into the goal for a 2:0 Caps lead. At the halfway point of the game Riley Holzapfel added a third but it was not over yet. Linz coach Troy Ward mixed his lines and it paid off. Dan DaSilva, Joel Broda and Robert Lukas tied the game within 118 seconds for a 3:3 score after 40 minutes. Due to some penalties the hosts gave the momentum away in the third and Jerry Pollastrone restored Vienna's lead on power play. With two minutes left Jonathan D'Aversa forced voertime and then Corey Locke became the hero in the extra session - 5:4 Black Wings.

One Raffl goal decides it for Salzburg
After Salzburg beat Dornbirn 8:3 on the road just three days ago, both sides entered this game more defensively-minded. After a goalless first Raphael Herburger missed the first good Salzburg chance in the second. At the midway point of the game the Bulldogs played their best but could not score either. Both goalies also kept a clean sheet for 40 minutes.  With ten minutes to go it was Thomas Raffl who made the breakthrough on power play in his 600th Erste Bank Eishockey Liga game. Sonn later John Hughes missed another good opportunity but it was enough as Dornbirn could not score in a final push.

Zagreb overcomes Klagenfurt again
Klagenfurt had the better of the paly early in the game and Julian Talbot opened the scoring after only seven minutes. Soon later Mike Boivin tied it after a great solo attempt. In the middle period KAC goalie David Madlener had some big saves but later in the period he was without a chance when Boivin got a rebound in. The third was only three mintues old when Marco Richter scored the equalizer after a solo attempt und then the hosts raised pressure. The created but also on power play the could not score. When the Carinthians lost a puck with a man advantage it was Tyler Morley who restored Zagreb's lead while palying shorthanded. Medvescak came close to win it in regulation but with 16 seconds to go Klagenfurt's new arrival Espeland sent the game to overtime. Here Boivin became the hero with his hat trick.
