The era of Dan Ceman as head coach of the Steinbach Black Wings Linz is over, after the 48-year-old Canadian, who had been in charge of the Upper Austrians since December 24h 2020, led his team to only three wins out of 15 games this season. In total he recorded 16 wins out of 46 games.

On an interim basis, the current assistant coaches Mark Szücs and Jürgen Penker will now lead the practice sessions. The search for a new head coach is already fully underway and Linz is already in intensive talks at the current time.

"We would like to thank Dan Ceman for his dedication and commitment. Unfortunately, the results have recently failed, so this step was inevitable. With this impetus, we now hope to achieve the turnaround as quickly as possible and get back on the winning track," said General Manager Gregor Baumgartner.
