Ljubljana and Pustertal take second win in a row

The two finalists of the past season HK SŽ Olimpija and HC Pustertal booked their second win in a row. The champion of Slovenia reversed a 0:2 deficit against the Rittner Buam in the final period. Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey celebrated the second win of the season, beating EC-KAC II 4:3 after shootout.

Ljubljana with the turnaround against Ritten 
The acting champ had kind of a false start into the new season. But in the past game Ljubljana celebrated the first win of the campaign. The Slovenians also started with high pressure into the game creating more chances than the Rittner Buam, but the first period ended with no goals. The Buam had a quick start into the second scoring the opener after 100 seconds. Ritten still acted more efficiently than Ljubljana doubling the lead in the 37th minute, even if the acting champ had more chances. In the final period finally the Slovenians begun converting the chances. Rajsar and Koren equalized the game. Winged by the two goals Anze Ropret scored the game winner in powerplay and brought the second win in a row for the 2019 AHL Champions.

Asiago beats KAC II after shootout
Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey celebrated the second win of the season after Shootout against the EC-KAC II. In the normal playing time, Klagenfurt was minutes ago oft he third win of the season. Up to five minutes before the end the KAC II led 3-1. Asiago was able to score twice in the last five minutes and rescue tot he overtime. In this both teams missed the decision. The decision fell in the penalty shootout. While both players of the Carinthian did not score, both Marco Rosa and Simone Olivero were able to exploit their penalties. Despite the defeat, the KAC II climbs to the second place of the league table. The gap to leader Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan are two points. Asiago is on eleventh place with four points.

Pustertal gets road win at Volksgarten
The Red Bull Hockey Juniors took a 5:2 win at Volksgarten, getting their second successive victory. After Robert Arrak opened the scoring for the hosts, the runners-up turned the game around even in the first. With the only goal of the middle frame Hofer doubled the lead. Despite Salzburg pulling one back early in the third, Pustertal added a powerplay goal and an empty netter for a 5:2 road win. While the wolves climbed up to ninth place, the Juniors are ninth.
