Ljubljana celebrates big win on comeback
After more than a week without a game in the Alps Hockey League, HK SZ Olimpija Ljubljana returned to the ice on Thursday. Although the home side had more of the game, Kitzbühel took the lead after 19 minutes through Bolterle. But only 39 seconds later Drozg broke the spell and equalised. The Tyroleans took the lead again through Wernerson, but then the Slovenian goal machine got going. With five goals, the hosts pulled away to 6:2 by the 37th minute. Although the decision had already been made, Olimpija kept going in the final period. Three more goals and a final score of 9:2 meant the second-highest win of the season for third-placed Ljubljana - in the Return2Play home game against EC-KAC II the Slovenians won 12:3. Jan Drozg, Gal Koren and Tadej Čimžar each scored two goals.

Ritten gets abother victory against Fassa
In the debut of Lasse Uusivirta in the jersey of the Rittner Buam, the Blue-Red celebrated the third victory in a row at the Fassa Falcons on Thursday evening. Three seconds before the end of the first period, MacGregor Sharp gave the visitors the lead on the power play. After the restart, Markus Spinell increased it to 0:2, but after a little more than half an hour, Tedesco got the hosts on the scoreboard out of nowhere. The Rittner Buam did not let themselves be distracted and Manuel Öhler restored the two-goal advantage with his first goal of the season. Less than two minutes later Sharp (38th) scored again with a powerplay marker. The visitors were too undisciplined in the final period and let Fassa come close again - Caletti and Hermansson made it a one-goal game again. The home side pressed for the equaliser in the end, but missed several top-class chances. Thus, the 16th duel of these two teams in the Alps Hockey League went to Ritten again, who improved to twelfth place.
