HK SZ Olimpija Ljubljana also prevailed over EHC Lustenau in their second meeting this season. While the Vorarlberg team was able to make the first duel more exciting, there was nothing to gain in the second game against Ljubljana. For the Slovenians it was already the fourth shutout victory of the current season. With this victory Ljubljana pushed Pustertal away from the top of the table. The hosts made things clear already in the first period and took a 4:0 lead. The Slovenians then shifted down a gear, but Lustenau was still unable to get back into the game. Ljubljana finally prevailed 6:0 and drew level with HC Pustertal in the standings. Lustenau, on the other hand, could not take the chance to climb into the top-4. Currently they are two points behind in sixth place.
