Ljubljana completes Hungarian road trip with second win
Olimpija Ljubljana won its second game in Hungary within 24 hours to take over first place in the standings. On the road against Hydro Fehérvár AV19, Ljubljana skated to a convincing 6-2 victory. Nicolai Meyer put his team on track for the win early, scoring twice within just one minute in the opening period. Ljubljana held a 3-0 lead after 20 minutes. Fehérvár cut the deficit to 2-4 in the middle frame, but the visitors responded with two more goals in the third to seal a 6-2 victory.

First wins of the season for Capitals and Graz99ers
The Vienna Capitals battled to a 5-4 road win against HC TIWAG Innsbruck. A highly efficient power play proved decisive in Vienna’s first victory of the season. The Sharks opened the scoring, but the Capitals converted each of their first three power-play opportunities to turn the game around and take a 3-2 lead into the final period. Vienna then extended its advantage to 4-2 before Innsbruck battled back to tie the game at 4-4. Shane Gersich eventually emerged as the match-winner for the Capitals, scoring the decisive 5-4 goal to complete a four-point night with three goals and one assist.

Fans had to wait a long time for the opening goal in the matchup between Pioneers Vorarlberg and Moser Medical Graz99ers. After two scoreless periods, during which the Styrians controlled much of the play, Nick Swaney finally broke the deadlock with six minutes remaining. The goal opened the floodgates for Graz, who eventually secured a 3-1 victory. After losing their season opener, the defending champions celebrated their first win of the new campaign.
