Ljubljana wins Slovenian Derby

HK Olimpija Ljubljana celebrated a win in the Slovenian Derby against HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice and captured the fourth place in the standings. Saso Racjar scored the game winner less than a minute to go.

Ljubljana is still the number one team of Slovenia. The Dragons also won the second Derby and captured the fourth place in standings. The home team started efficiently into the game. After three minutes Ales Music opened the scoring. Jesenice created couple of chances bud didn’t manage to scored in the first period. It was an open battle in the second period. Ljubljana kept their effectiveness and Gregor Koblar doubled the lead. From that moment, Jesenice shifted one gear up. Luka Kalan and Nejc Brus tied the game still in the second. Winged by the two goals Jesenice started strong in the final period and Andrej Tavzelj captured the lead for his team for the first time this evening. But Ljubljana stroke back. First Music tied the game with his second goal, before Saso Rajsar scored the game winner less than a minute to go.
