The home team has always had the upper hand in the series so far, which is why the visitors from South Tyrol have a 2:1 lead. Bolzano won 3:1 on Friday and celebrated a 4:1 home win in the opener. In the meantime, Villach equalized the series with a 4:3 win after overtime. Overall, the “Eagles” have only been beaten in three of their last ten home games, while the “Foxes” have only won three of their last ten away games.

“We have to get into the game well straight away and then we hope to win. It would be very important to get the win, make it 3:1 and then have a chance to advance to the next round in front of our home crowd. We must not lose our defensive stability. It's crucial to stay focused for 60 minutes and play the same way we did on Friday”, said Frigo ahead of the game in Villach on Sunday.

This will be the 31-year-old forward's ninth playoffs with Bolzano. The Italian will play his 88th postseason game on Sunday. So far, Frigo has 31 playoff points (18G | 13A). He was already crowned champion with the “Foxes” in 2018.
