Luka Gomboc inks new three-year deal

The EC-KAC and Luka Gomboc have agreed on a continuation of their cooperation until the end of the win2day ICE Hockey League season 25-26. The 19-year-old Slovenian played 46 games for the "Rotjacken" in the past campaign. Meanwhile, no new agreement was reached with goalie Val Usnik.

Luka Gomboc joined EC-KAC in the summer of 2018, with good performances in the red-white U18 team and later in the Future Team in the Alps Hockey League he recommended himself for a commitment in Canada's top junior league. After a year with the Drummondville Voltigeurs (QMJHL), the Slovenian returned to Klagenfurt last summer. The winger made his debut in the first team in the road game at the spusu Vienna Capitals on September 23rd, also against the Viennese he scored his first goal in the home game on November 6th.

Goalie Val Usnik, who joined EC-KAC in 2021, has not received a new contract offer and must leave the "Rotjacken". Since the end of February, the 22-year-old Slovenian has not played any games due to injury.
