On Tuesday, another top duel will take place in the Alps Hockey League: third-placed EHC Lustenau will host second-placed HK SZ Olimpija Ljubljana, league’s best team on the offensive end. With a victory, the sixth in a row, the Austrians would narrow the gap to four points to the reigning champion. As the Rheinhalle in Lustenau remains closed, the game will take place in the Messehalle in Dornbirn. At the same time, EC Die Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel is fighting to end its losing streak, and even before that - with the game starting at 7 p.m. - Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey is looking for its seventh home win in a row. The compact Tuesday gameday opens with the duel between Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey and SHC Fassa Falcons. The two teams meet each other - including the duels in the Return-2-Play phase - for the fourth time. All meetings this season have been won by the road team - the road team has always scored in the last five duels. However, fourth-placed Asiago currently has a strong home streak to defend: The last six home games in a row were won, the last five after regulation and with a maximum of two goals conceded per encounter. The visitors from South Tyrol, who are in fourth place, have recently picked up eleven of a possible twelve points away from home. Marek Vankus could make his comeback after almost a month and a half out with injury, while Davide Dal Sasso remains absent.

Referees: HOLZER T., HUBER, Eisl, Huber J. | >> PPV-LIVESTREAM <<
In the duel between EHC Lustenau and HK SZ Olimpija Ljubljana - which will be played in the Messehalle Dornbirn due to too much snow on the roof of Lustenau’s Rheinhalle- two in-form teams clash, which are also next to each other in the standings: The third-placed Vorarlberg side have won their last five games, scoring an average of 6,2 goals, while the second-placed Slovenians have won their last four. The “dragons" are absolute league leaders in both goals scored (7.,6) and goals against (2,6). The reigning champions lost their last encounter with Lustenau 2:3 after overtime, but before that they celebrated five victories in a row. The fact that both teams are sniffing at the top of the table is due to their strong penalty killing: EHC is number one in the league with 88.9%, HKO is in third place with 88%. EHC returnee Timo Demuth, who scored 18 points last season, will not be ready for action on Tuesday.
