After earning a win on Saturday (Lustenau beat EC-KAC II 4:1, Jesenice won at Bregenzerwald 5:3), both teams tried to get a perfect weekend. The hosts were without Martin Grabher-Meier and Colin Long. However, they had a good start and took the lead in the 11th minute when captain Max Wilfan found the back of the net. Lustenau continued to play offensively-minded and Mark Hurtubise added a second for a 2:0 lead after the opening period. Despite Jesenice coming out hard for the middle frame, the home team could celebrate once again as David König went top shelf. Soon later Andrej Tavzelj got the visitors on the scoreboard with a shot from the blue line. Lustenau answered promptly and Elias Wallenta restored the tree-goal lead. The Slovenes tried everything in the third but were not able to come back. In the 49th minute Timo Demuth made the game safe on power play. A goal from Jesenice's Tomazevic finished the scoring. With their seventh win out of the last eight games, Lustenau climbed to sixth place in the standings.
