EHC Alge Elastic Lustenau – Hockey Milano Rossoblu 5:3 (0:1, 3:2, 2:0)
Referees: LEGA, RUETZ, Basso, Rinker.

It did not look like the bottom club entered Lustenau's Rheinhalle as Milano played a good road game with their imports Gullaume Doucet, Eric Pance and Francis Verrault-Paul often becoming dangerous. The hosts had the better of the play but Marcello Borgi used a defensive mistake and opened the scoring in the 17th minute with a shorthanded marker. In the middle frame there were some goals on both sides. First, Martin Grabher-Meier (28') tied the game but still in the minute Guillome Doucet restored Milano's lead. After another equalizer from Dave Labrecque, it was Francis Verrault-Paul who scored a third for the guests. Lustenau struck back again, though, as top scorer Marc Oliver Vallerand made it three apiece. In the second intermission Lustenau coach Christian Weber changed his lines and it all worked out. With ten minutes to go Chris D'Alvise put the lions ahead for the first time this evening and soon later Dave Labrecque made the game safe with his second of the night. Lustenau returned to the top of the table thanks to a 5:3 home win.
