After having three consecutive one-point games on home ice last days, EHC Lustenau pulled off a dominant 5-0 shutout win in the derby against EC Bregenzerwald. It was the third game of the season without conceding a goal for last year's semifinalists, with goalie Erik Hanses saving 28. The "Wälder" had to accept the end of their winning streak after five victories in a row, remaining without a goal for the third time this year. Lustenau immediately benefitted from its first two power play occasions: Max Wilfan (6./PP1) and Lucas Haberl (29./PP1) scored in numerical superiority. From then on, the home team controlled the action and extended their lead with goals from Kevin Puschnik (34.), Remy Giftopouos (41.) and Chris D'Alvise (57.).

EK Die Zeller Eisbären sits wo points behind EHC in standings. The Salzburg side made up a one-goal deficit twice at BEMER VEU Feldkirch and prevailed 4-2 in the end. The "Eisbären" took revenge for the overtime defeat at the beginning of the season. For the Vorarlberg team it was the seventh defeat in a row. VEU took the lead twice, while the guests equalized twice on the powerplay. Another powerplay gave Zell am See the lead for the first time in the 58th minute - Jürgen Tschernutter netted. With an empty-netter from Philipp Kreuzer, the league returnee crowned his comeback and secured his tenth win of the season.
