Interrupted by a season in the Finnish Liiga (2018/19), forward Manuel Ganahl has played for the EC-KAC since 2015. In 254 competitive matches (league and Champions Hockey League) he has collected 183 scorer points (70 goals, 113 assists). Now the national team player let his fixed deadline for the termination of his contract for the purpose of a foreign transfer expire, which means that his contract with the record champion now runs until the end of the 2020/21 season.

Head Coach Petri Matikainen has also decided that Manuel Ganahl, who wore the "C" on his jersey in the final weeks of last season, will now become the permanent captain of the team. His three deputies in this role will be appointed by the head coach to start the training camp in preparation for the upcoming season in the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League.
