The match was very hard-fought and full of rhythm with both teams playing openly. The first penalty against Cortina was already decisive: after 15 minutes Ivan Deluca realized in powerplay. But Cortina's answer was immediate, just 24 seconds later with Ronny De Zanna. But the end of the time was in favour of the Broncos that 33 seconds before the first break, they took the lead with Jure Sotlar. The second half, however, was stingier with emotions. In the last regular season game there was the debut of Stephen Pietrobon with the Asiago jersey. In the first half the home team built a lot. But the various chances of the AHL leaders didn’t lead to any goal. Giulio Scandella hit the crossbar. The Fassa, however, closed the first period in the lead by 1: 0: Samuel Rothstein stole a puck in the attack area and then promptly served Devin Di Diomete who exceeded Frederic Cloutier. The Asiago began the second half with a lot of pressure and during the second powerplay available, the yellow-read team equalized with Anthony Bardaro. But Fassa was very concrete on goal: halfway through the game. Jiri Klimicek scored 2: 1 with a shot under the crossbar. But shortly thereafter Bardaro was still the protagonist for the draw. But the second period was still full of emotions. Devin Di Diomete, again, gave a new advantage with a great wrist shot after a defensive Asiago blunder. But when were missing only 8 seconds to the end of the period, Michael Sullivan scored the 3:3 with a spectacular slide. In the third time the Asiago took the lead for the first time with Davide Conci but the Fassa was always in the game: Eetu Heikkinen signed 4:4 with a powerful shot. Asiago pushed in the last minutes as they found the back of the net with Enrico Miglioranzi  (57.) who fixed in powerplay the final score for 5: 4 in favour of the leaders.
