In the only remaining quarterfinal duel of the Alps Hockey League, the EHC Lustenau will face the HC Pustertal Wölfe. Due to medical precautionary measures regarding Covid-19 the series could not start till Thursday and will be played in a „best-of-3“ mode. Game one at Pustertal ended surprisingly clear with 6:0 for the guests from Lustenau. The Vorarlberg team thus has the chance to qualify for the semifinals on Saturday for the second time after 2019. For the EHC it was already the fourth win in a row, PUS conceded the second defeat in a row. In the H2H it was the sixth victory in the thirteenth AHL duel for Lustenau.

Especially in the second period, the ninth-placed team after the regular season clearly set the tone. They scored no less than four goals in the second 20 minutes of the game. In the first and last period they scored one goal each. Chris D'Alvise was the only player to score a brace. In total, the 35-years-old Canadian scored 24 goals this season so far. In the postseason, the center has scored a goal in every game so far.

Besides Chris D'Alvise, EHC goalie Lukas Reihs was man of the match. The 20-years-old native of Vienna was able to save all 27 shots on his goal and he celebrated his fourth shutout of the season. On the other side, PUS goalkeeper Colin Furlong could only save 82.6% of all shots on his goal. It was the second worst save percentage of the season for the 28-years-old. At the score of 0:4, the Canadian was replaced by Hannes Stoll. Game two of the quarterfinal series between Lustenau and Pustertal will be streamed live on Valcome.tv on Saturday from 19:30.
