Referees: SORAPERRA, STEFENELLI, Brondi, Cristeli. | >> PPV-Livestream <<
HC Merano/o Pircher earned a chance to reach the semifinals of the Italian championship on their own with a surprising 3:2 home win over Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey past game day. With a point win on Wednesday against Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan, the AHL newcomer fixes the top-4 in Italy. Meran turned around the first season duel against each other after trailing 0:2 in a brilliant final frame. The Broncos have not yet celebrated a success since their return to the temporary stadium in Sterzing, lost twice clearly - also because they had only three lines available. Especially the special teams haven't been convincing yet, both in PK (71,2% | #17) and PP (14,5% | #16) there is a need to catch up. Meran has lost its last two road games, but there have not been three away defeats in a row in the season so far.

Alps Hockey League | 16.12.2021 | Schedule:
Thu, 16.12.2021, 8.30 pm: SHC Fassa Falcons – Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey
Referees: BENVEGNU, PAHOR, De Zordo, Javornik. | >> PPV-Livestream <<
Thursday's clash is SHC Fassa Falcons versus Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey and the currently eleventh-placed "Falcons" have plenty of confidence for the duel with the fifth-placed "Lions": In the last eight games Fassa has scored 19 from 24 possible points, as both Daniel Tedesco (5G|12A) and especially Steven McParland (8G|10A) excel. McParland currently has an eight-game goal-scoring streak available. Asiago, which is the lone AHL team besides last-place Vienna whose all previous games were decided in regulation, relies on its strong record against Fassa: 13 out of the 15 meetings held in the AHL were won by the reigning Italian champions. Asiago won the first duel of the season 5:2 thanks to a strong final period. The former AHL champions have never lost two games in a row in the current campaign. This year's Continental Cup participants rank in the top-4 in both PK (83.6%) and PP (25.3%), while Fassa is in the middle of the pack in both categories.

Alps Hockey League | 17.12.2021 | Schedule:
Fri, 17.12.2021, 8.00 pm: Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan – EK Die Zeller Eisbären
Referees: PODLESNIK, VIRTA, DA Pian, Telesklav. | >> PPV-Livestream <<
On Friday, the Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan have another home game coming up: opponent is EK Die Zeller Eisbären, which recently lost some of their drive from the first half of the season, probably also due to the absence of top scorer Henrik Neubauer due to injury, as AHL comebacker could only won one of the last six games (3:2 vs. SGC). Most recently, there were three defeats in a row away from home. In the previous five appearances in Sterzing, Salzburg could only land one single point on October 27th, 2018 in a6:7 OT defeat.
