HC Meran/o provided the biggest surprise of the matchday. The South Tyroleans celebrated a well-deserved 5:1 home win over KHL Sisak, knocking the Croatians off the top of the table. After a goalless first period, Patrick Tomasini put the home side ahead, and the game entered an action-packed final period at 1:0. The South Tyroleans pulled away to 4:0 thanks to a brace from Massimo Pietroniro. Although the league's top goalgetter Bruno Idzan scored for the visitors while short-handed, Merano added another one a short time later on power play for the final score.

The new league leaders are the EK Zeller Eisbären, although the derby against the Red Bull Hockey Juniors did not go according to plan for the hosts for a long time. After the visitors took an early lead through Fabian Baumann, the Juniors dominated the first period. The Polar Bears equalised in the second period in front of 2,400 spectators, but Paul Vinzens put the Juniors back in front shortly afterwards. At the start of the final period, Zell am See turned the game around with two quick goals from Max Wilfan and Bernhard Fechtig. In the final period, the Pinzgau team increased their lead to 5:2 with two empty-net goals in the final minutes.

HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice defended third place with a 3:1 home win against Cortina. The Slovenians set the course for victory in the first period with goals from Santeri Sillanpää (PP2) and Gregor Koblar. Francesco Adami pulled one back in the middle period, but only shortly afterwards 18-year-old Zan Spari Leben restored the two-goal lead.

After five defeats in a row, the Adler Kitzbühel returned to winning ways. The fourth-placed Tyroleans won 3:2 against bottom-placed Sterzing, with the Broncos equalising twice after falling behind. But Chris Schutz made the difference in the final phase. The US American decided the game with his goal after 55 minutes and became the match-winner.

EC Bregenzerwald and Celje played out an open exchange of blows in front of almost 1,000 spectators. The Slovenians led 2:0 after six minutes and were even 5:2 ahead after 37 minutes. But the home side never gave up and managed to close the gap again. Richard Schlögl equalised in the 53rd minute to make it 5:5, and the ECB captain even secured the home win in the shootout.
