HC Meran/o Pircher also won the third quarterfinal matchup against Asiago. After falling behind, the Eagles celebrated a 2–1 road victory on Saturday and now have the chance to advance to the Alps Hockey League semifinals in front of their home crowd on Tuesday. KHL Sisak and EK Zeller Eisbären reclaimed their series leads thanks to home wins.

KHL Sisak – S.G. Cortina Hafro 4–3 OT (1–2, 1–0, 1–1)
In an entertaining game, Sisak edged Cortina 4–3 in overtime. The home team struck first with a power-play goal by Larionovs in the sixth minute, but Cortina turned the game around before the first intermission to take a 2–1 lead. Early in the second period, Sisak equalized, and the teams went into the second break tied 2–2. In the third, the visitors regained the lead when Barnabo scored on the power play—four of the game’s goals came with a man advantage. Late in regulation, Larionovs scored again to level the game. In overtime, Vito Idžan became the hero, netting the winner in front of nearly 2,000 fans.

EK Die Zeller Eisbären – Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan 5–2 (1–0, 2–2, 2–0)
EK Zeller Eisbären took the lead again in their quarterfinal series against Sterzing. The defending champions won Game 3 at home in front of over 2,100 fans with a 5–2 final. Christian Jennes was the difference-maker with a hat trick: he opened the scoring in the sixth minute and completed the triple in the final period. Predan made it 2–0 midway through the game before Cianfrone and Soraruf tied things up at 2–2. Just before the second break, Jennes put his team back in front, and Zauner sealed the deal in the final minute. Zell am See now leads the series 2–1.

HC Migross Asiago – HC Meran/o Pircher 1–2 (0–0, 1–1, 0–1)
After two straight wins, Merano played with confidence and had the better of the opening period, though without scoring. In the second, Rigoni #89 put the hosts ahead, but Nousiainen equalized just minutes later. In the final frame, Fuchs turned the game around for the visitors, who held onto their slim lead until the buzzer. With their third consecutive win, the Eagles have their first chance to clinch the semifinal spot on Tuesday in Merano.
