On Tuesday evening in the Ritten Arena, the game went into the second overtime before Patrick Madsen scored the 2:1 for the visitors. The series thus moves to Merano once again. Game six is scheduled for Thursday at 8.30 pm in the Meranarena.

In the previous five matches, the team that scored the first goal has always won. The last four duels have all ended with an away victory, with Ritten already winning 5:2 and 4:3 at the eagles. With two goals and eight assists, Madsen leads the playoff scoring charts ahead of team-mate Daniel Gellon (2+7). With four goals and four assists, Ethan Szypula has collected the most Rittner points in the current postseason so far.

Two years ago, Ritten advanced to the next round with an away win in the sixth game of the quarter-final series against Kitzbühel.
