Midweek games in Alps Hockey League

Six games are scheduled during the week in Alps Hockey League. Feldkirch and Ljubljana are opening the round with a duel for the first chasing position to the top-4.  On Wednesday three further games are on the plan, before the round will be closed by two games on Thursday.

5.12.2017 FBI VEU Feldkirch - HK SZ Olimpija 19:30
Referees: KUCHER, OFNER, Cristeli, Piras
The duel between Feldkirch and Ljubljana is a battle between two neighbors in standings. Currently Feldkirch is one point ahead, but they also absolved one game more. In the first duel Feldkirch clinched a3:2 success in an exciting game. Feldkirch won seven out of eight most recent games and currently has a good rhythm. Ljubljana had to take a 2:5 defeat against Bregenzerwald in the past game. 
 
6.12.2017 EK Zeller Eisbären - S.G. Cortina Hafro 19:30
Referees: KUCHER, OFNER, Bedynek, Holzer
The EK Zeller Eisbären won only one out of the past six games, but the win was against the acting champ of Ritten. Cortina ended its four games losing streak with a clear win against Kitzbühel. Both teams had a good start into the season but lost their rhythm, but still a playoff-ticket is the objective for both. In the first duel Cortina celebrated a 6:1 success. 
 
6.12.2017 HC Fassa Falcons - Rittner Buam 20:30
Referees: LAZZERI, PIANEZZE, De Zordo, Rigoni
The Rittner Buam are back on the top of the league with wins in the past two games. The Flacons lost 10 out of their 11 most recent games and dropped to the 15th place. In the first battle the Buam celebrated a clear 5:1 success. The Falcons already lost the connection to the midfied and is currently a clinch with Salzburg and Gherdeina for the 13th place. The Buam aim to end the regular season on the first place, as they did in the past season.
 
6.12.2017 HC Gherdeina valgardena.it - EC Bregenzerwald 20:30
Referees: MORI, RUETZ, Bedana, Cristeli
The EC Bregenzerwald is currently on the 9th place with the same amount of points as the 8th place – the last play-off spot. Gherdeina is currently on the 14th pace and already lost the connection to the midfield. But the Italians started a run and won the past three games. Bregenzerwald recently booked a win against Ljubljana. In the first duel the Austrians booked a 5:1 win against Gherdeina aim to repeat the success to clinch the top-8.
 
7.12.2017 HC Neumarkt Riwega - EHC Alge Elastic Lustenau 20:00
Referees: LEGA, WALLNER, Basso, Giacomozzi
Lustenau had a four-games winning streak before they lost against Feldkirch a few days ago. Currently the Austrians are on the 10ths place trailing by 5 points to the top eight. Also Neumarkt had to end a three games winning streak recently, but still found the connection to the lower midfield. The first duel was won by Lustenau with 3:1. 
 
7.12.2017 WSV Sterzing Broncos Weihenstephan - Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey 20:00
Referees: KAMSEK, PODLESNIK, Snoj, Wiest
The Sterzing Broncos lost three out of the past four games and dropped to the 7th place. Asiago climbed the standings and is the first persecutor of the top-duo. The first battle was decided by the Broncos with 2:1. Teams behind Sterzing are already in lurking position and they need to capture further points, if they want to capture a playoff-spot.
