Gios began his career in his hometown of Asiago before moving to Finland, where he played in the youth departments of HIFK, Jokerit and TUTO. After completing his junior career with a stint in the United States, the defenceman returned to Italy, started his professional career with Bolzano and also played for Fassa in the Alps Hockey League. He then moved to Asiago, where the right-handed shot has spent the last five years – three of them in the win2day ICE Hockey League, during which he also played several games on loan for Pustertal. In total, Gios has so far made 149 league appearances, recording 15 points and 73 penalty minutes.

Gios has been a mainstay of the Italian national team since his time with the U18 squad. He made his top-division debut for the „Azzurri“ in 2021 and subsequently took part in the 2022 and 2026 tournaments. He has earned 91 caps for Italy to date.

Gregorio Gios: "This opportunity comes at the right time for me — I feel ready to return to the win2day ICE Hockey League and put myself back to the test. There's no shortage of motivation; I got a firsthand look at the passion Milan has to offer when I played the league finals at Santa Giulia. The challenge for all of us will be building a cohesive group as quickly as possible on a completely new team”.
