Forward and 2016/17-MVP Eric Pance went from HC Pustertal Wolves to Hockey Milano Rossoblu. Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan presented their goalies for 2018/19. Besides, each Slovenian club, Sportivi Ghiaccio Cortina Hafro and EC Bregenzerwald have announced contract extensions. The „Wälder“ added youngster Leon Rüdisser to their roster as well.
Olimpja started their preparation with 26 players
HK SZ Olimpija has started with 26 players - two goalies, ten defenders and 14 forwards - into the new season today. Big and strong defenseman Kristijan Cepon is still with the team. The 22-year old Slovenian has been a key-player for Ljubljana so far, he had 21 points (7G/14A) out of 42 Alps Hockey League games 2017/18.
Brus stays in Jesenice
Miha Brus (SLO) will go for goals and points for HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice in the upcoming season as well. The 31-year old forward is continously playing in the Steel City since 2006, earning five Slovenian Championships (2010, 2011, 2015, 2017, 2018) with the "Red Steelers" during that span. Brus has been a key-player in the team, he was Assistant Captain last season and had 26 points (13G/13A) out of 32 Alps Hockey League games.
Broncos trust in three young goalies
Italian Gianluca Vallini, who was among the top 6 goalies in the Alps Hockey League 2017/18, will be the number 1 netminder of Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan in the upcoming season as well. The 24-year old Italian Nationalteam goalie had a save% of 92,4 and a GAA of 2.65 out of 39 games last season. Prior, Vallini has already guarded the net of HC Gherdeina valgardena.it in the Alps Hockey League 2016/17. The youngsters Jakob Rabanser and Robin Quagliato will be Backups.
Lacedelli plays for Cortina
Italian Riccardo Lacedelli will continue playing for Sportivi Ghiaccio Cortina Hafro 2018/19 as well: The 23-year old forward, who is known as a reliable (goal-)scorer, has already gone for goals and points for his home-club in 85 Alps Hockey League-games during the past two years, scoring 36 points (22G/14A). Lacedelli has experience from playing overseas in his youth too: The Italian nationalteam player went for goals and points for the Northern Cyclones in the AtJHL 2012/13.
Milano signed 2016/17-MVP
Reliable (goal-)scorer Eric Pance (SLO) went from HC Pustertal Wolves to Hockey Milano Rossoblu. The 27-year old forward played 41 games in the Alps Hockey League for the wolves past season and scored 32 points (18G/14A)! Prior, the Slovenian has already spent one successful season with HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice in the Alps Hockey League, earning the MVP title 2016/17. Besides, Pance has experience from playing in Sweden, Hungary or in the Erste Bank Eishockey League too.
Rüdisser, Skec and Wolf are „Wälder“
EC Bregenzerwald added another, three young players to their roster! Karlo Skec will be one of the goalies of EC Bregenzerwald 2018/19. The 20-year old Croatian has already guarded the "Wälder's" net in seven Alps Hockey League-games during the last two years. Last season, the young netminder had a save% of 86,7 and a GAA of 4.35 out of four matches. Prior, Skec has already earned one EBJ-title (2015) and one EBYSL-title (2016) with EC Red Bull Salzburg.
Besides, big and strong defenseman Raphael Wolf will have an important role in the ECB-defense in the upcoming season. The 22-year old Austrian had six Assists out of 13 Alps Hockey League-games for the "Wälder" past season. Wolf will start into his second year with the Dornbirn Bulldogs in the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga 2018/19 too…
Youngest addition is Leon Rüdisser. The 16-year old forward went for goals and points for the youth teams of SC Rheintal in Switzerland during the past four years. Last season, the young Austrian had 33 points (16G/17A) out of 19 games for the clubs U17 team.
