The Red Bull Hockey Juniors and Sportivi Ghiaccio Cortina Hafro have been convincing lately: The Mozart Citizens were on fire in Klagenfurt on Thursday (7:0) and earned their first three points in this Alps Hockey League season. Now, the Austrians will welcome Sportivi Ghiaccio Cortina Hafro on Saturday (16:00) and they will go for their first home-win. So far, the Red Bull Hockey Juniors couldn‘t convince at home: The team from Salzburg has been defeated in both home-games and allowed eight goals, while scoring just one goal. Their opponent, Sportivi Ghiaccio Cortina Hafro, had a good run lately: The Italians have won three straight matches and they have scored twelve goals. The last three meetings between Red Bull Hockey Juniors and Sportivi Ghiaccio Cortina Hafro went to Overtime with Salzburg earning the win in two straight meetings in the end…

HK SZ Olimpija has been convincing at home so far! The Slovenes have won both home-games against Hockey Milano Rossoblu (6:0) and EK Die Zeller Eisbären (2:1) allowing just one goal in 120 minutes. Now, the Dragons will welcome Vice-Champion Rittner Buam on Saturday. The Italians have shown two different faces so far: The South Tyroleans have been successful in both home-games so far, but they have been defeated in both games on the road. HK SZ Olimpija and Rittner Buam will face each other for the third team. Each meeting has ended with a victory for the road-team so far.

Hockey Milano Rossoblu will finally play their home-opener against Slovenian Champion, HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice, on Saturday. So, an Alps Hockey League-game will take place for the first time in a mega-city this weekend. The Italians will go for their first win as well: The bottom club has been defeated in Klagenfurt (3:4/OT) and in Ljubljana (0:6) so far and netted fewest goals (3). Aleksander Petrov will miss the home-opener. He has been suspended for one game, because of Checking to the Head- and Neck Area in the game in Klagenfurt. HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice will play their fourth game against a club from Italy on Saturday. The „Red Steelers“ have earned points from all three matches in this Alps Hockey League season so far, earning two wins. Tadej Cimzar and Company have earned some confidence with a 2:1-Overtime-victory against Champion Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey 1935 in the previous round.

EC „Die Adler“ Stadtwerke Kitzbühel vs. EC-KAC II is the only Austrian clash this weekend, played on Saturday. Each team will try to return on the winning-street: Klagenfurt has been defeated by the Red Bull Hockey Juniors at home on Thursday (0:7), while the Tyroleans stayed without points in Cortina (2:5). Each club has earned one victory out of four games so far. The „Eagles“ got their only win against HC Gherdeina valgardena.it at home (3:0). Besides, Kitzbühel has been successful in all six meetings with the „Red Jackets“ from Klagenfurt so far.

VEU Feldkirch will be in action twice this weekend: The Austrians will welcome Leader HC Pustertal Wolves in the meeting of the best defensive clubs on Saturday (19:30) and HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice less than 23 hours later. The Vorarlberger have allowed fewest goals (5) so far. The Italians and the Slovenes, each just six goals. Besides, Bruneck is the only unbeaten team. The Italians have even collected the maximum of twelve points out of four games so far. The VEU Feldkirch got points out of their two matches as well (one home-win). Bruneck has won the last three meetings with the VEU Feldkirch. Besides, the Vorarlberger have welcomed 24-year old forward Jordan Pfennich (AUT) on a Try Out, while Lucas Loibnegger has retired.

EK Die Zeller Eisbären will welcome Champion Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey 1935 on Saturday. The Italians have earned points out of all four games so far (three wins), while the Polar Bears‘ good run (two straight wins at the start of the season) ended in Ljubljana on Wednesday (1:2-defeat). Each team has been convincing in the defense so far: Asiago has allowed just seven goals out of four games (in average: 1.75 goals per game), the Austrians six goals out of three games (in average: 2.0 goals per game). Besides, the Italians have been successful in three consecutive clashes with the Zeller, among others in both meetings in Pinzgau.

The best Austrian team in the Alps Hockey League (3rd) has already netted 22 goals this season and has won two straight games against the Italians HC Fassa Falcons (9:4) and Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan (3:1), while the Furies have been defeated by the Ritten Buam on the road lately (3:5). The Austrians have won the last two meetings, scoring four goals each game.
