In the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League game #300 on 05.04.2021, in a TV interview between the 2nd and 3rd period, Rick Schofield (#19) stated verbally, remarks that are considered damaging to the integrity of both the game officials and bet-at-home ICE Hockey League.

By this action, the player fulfilled the element of an offense according to the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League Penalty Catalog Ref. Nr. 37. The penalty range for this offense goes from 500,00 Euros to 10.000,00 Euros. It is required, within the significance of Pro Sport, to put emphasis on a positive image of the sport in the public. An individual’s personal opinion, not substantiated by facts, that is considered an insult towards both the game officials and bet-at-home ICE Hockey League, is unacceptable. Especially, considering the game officials did follow the proper procedure in reviewing the incident and having to make a determination, the verbal content of Rick Schofield is incomprehensible. Taking all this into account the minimum fine amount was deemed not sufficient.
