More than 100,000 fans in the playoffs

The number of spectators in the win2day ICE Hockey League continues to rise. On the first semifinal game day, the mark of 100,000 spectators in the 2023 playoffs has been reached. On average, 3,537 fans attended a postseason game.

Exactly 102,573 fans came to the 29 playoff games of the win2day ICE Hockey League so far. Six encounters were sold out. The postseason record for attendance is held by quarterfinal game seven between HCB Südtirol Alperia and Steinbach Black Wings Linz with 5,325.

This is the best advertising for the sport of ice hockey and shows once again that both the clubs and the league have done a very good job in a challenging time. The teams deliver exciting games on a high level, now we look forward to the decisive phase of the championship", league president Jochen Pildner-Steinburg is pleased.

Bolzano increases fan attendance by 43% in the playoffs
Compared to the Regular Season, HCB Südtirol Alperia has seen a 43% increase in attendance in its first five playoff home games. On average, 4,139 spectators attended a postseason game in Bolzano. But also the three other semifinalists were able to increase their attendance: EC Red Bull Salzburg welcomed 22% more spectators in the arena compared to the regular seasin, the spusu Vienna Capitals their 21% and EC-KAC 18%. The most fans per playoff home game so far were recorded by the "Caps" with 4,716.
