How excited are you for the new season, and how optimistic are you about what lies ahead for the team?
Moritz Kaufmann: “I'm really excited for the new season. After last year's early exit, we had a long summer to reset and refocus. There's a fresh wind in the group, and we know what kind of hockey we want to play. If we can stick to that, I'm really optimistic about the upcoming season.”

Once again, you have a very young team. At just 23, you’re already one of the more experienced players on the roster. Is that what makes Unterland special – the clear focus on developing young players and preparing them to potentially take the next step in their careers?
“We're a young team, we're hungry, and the club gives us real responsibility. Being one of the more experienced players at 23 is unusual, but it shows how much the club trusts young players and how much it pushes young talents to develop and grow. Overall, it's just a great atmosphere and a great environment to grow both on and off the ice.”

What has changed within the team over the summer, and what have you done to put yourselves in a position to compete for a playoff spot this season?
“A lot has changed in a positive way. We have lots of new faces, the young guys have made a big step forward and the pace in practice is a lot higher. Overall, the team feels more connected and everybody knows the responsibility we have. Over the summer, we focused on structure, conditioning and playing a more disciplined game. I think if we can stick to that, we have a good chance of competing for a playoff spot.”
