The HC Pustertal Wölfe fought their way to a 5-4 home win after a shootout over their direct rivals for the top 6 Steinbach Black Wings Linz on Friday. David Morley scored three times by the 25th minute and was also on hand with the primary assist on the South Tyroleans' second power play goal. With his first "4-point game" in the win2day ICE Hockey League, the forward became the top performer of the 44th round.

David Morley, who is playing his first season in the multinational championship in Bruneck – and after seven seasons in Norway – played his highest-scoring game for the HC Pustertal Wölfe on Friday. The Canadian put up three goals and one assist, scoring his first hat trick. It was the 33-year-old's third multiple-goal game. Morley thus drew level with the Wolves' leading scorer Alex Petan (14). With 32 points, he is the South Tyroleans' second-best scorer behind Jason Akeson (8G|28A).
