The "Rotjacken" and the forward have agreed on a longer-term agreement, which includes a majority of options but is initially fixed until the end of the 22-23 season.

Manuel Ganahl enters his seventh season with the Austrian record title holder, with the exception of the 18-19 season, when he played in Finland's top league with the Pelicans in Lahti and Lukko in Rauma, the Vorarlberg native has been under contract with EC-KAC since the summer of 2015. For the “Rotjacken”, the forward has so far played 359 league games and scored 264 points. For the sixth time in a row, Ganahl is currently in the lineup of the Austrian national team (115 appearances).

General Manager Oliver Pilloni: "Manuel Ganahl joined EC-KAC in 2015 as an above-average player in our league and has developed into a top player and a leader in our organization. He is a reliable scorer, but also handles defensive duties very well. This mix is valuable for our team, so we are glad that Manuel Ganahl will continue to play in the red and white jersey. After last season, which was certainly not his best in Klagenfurt, we also see some potential for improvement in him. As a perennial part of the stable core of our team, we can't imagine playing without him, and that's why we're also planning for the longer term with him."
