Bryson Cianfrone third import at HC Pustertal
The HC Pustertal announced the signing of Bryson Cianfrone. After the extension with last year's AHL MVP Colin Furlong and the signing of Brett Perlini, the "wolves" presented their now third import. The 25-year-old Canadian was initially active in the Ontario Hockey League (152 scorer points) and spent the last four years at St. Francis Xavier University.
"I'm looking forward to my new role and hope to help the team to an exciting last season at the Rienz Stadium. I'm also looking forward to getting know the culture, the country and the people and to develop myself as a person and as a hockey player," Cianfrone said in a first statement.

Kitzbühel hires Mikael Johansson

The EC Die Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel signed Mikael Johansson as its fourth import for the 2020-21 season in the Alps Hockey League. The 25-year-old Swede moved from Kristianstad's second division club to Tyrol. For forward Johansson, EC Kitzbühel is his first stop abroad: "I wanted a new adventure in my career and coach Charles Franzén has told me only good things about both the club and the city.” With the Växjö Lakers he won the SHL title back in 14-15. In total, he wore the Jersey 65 times in Sweden's highest division.

The "eagles" will have their first on-ice practice on Monday, August 17th. Currently, the Tyroleans are still looking for reinforcements: two Austrian defenders and a local forward are to complement the Franzén squad.

Bregenzerwald loses preseason opener
The EC Bregenzerwald lost its preseason opener 1:5 to EHC Arosa from Switzerland, with Felix Vonbun, who did not score for the "Wälder" in the past two seasons, hitting the lone goals. The Swede Johan Lorraine, who returned to his homeland to Allsvenskan-Klub Väsby IK, was not part of the Vorarlberg side.

Roster updates from Val Gardena and Ritten
The roster of the Hockey Club Gherdëina is almost complete: homegrown Samuel Moroder - he played 145 AHL games for the South Tyroleans (9G|18A) so far – extended his contract for one more season, at the same time Patrick Tomasini arrived at the "Furie". The 20-year-old forward comes from S.G. Cortina Hafro, for whom he scored ten points in 40 AHL games past campaign.

Meanwhile, the Rittner Buam announced that a total of nine home-grown players born in 2000 and younger will get a chance in the upcoming AHL season.
