With Martin Stajnoch, the Steinbach Black Wings Linz have signed an experienced defenseman. The 31-year-old played 13 games (2A) for HC Slovan Bratislava in the current season. At the Slovakian powerhouse, the defender was with interruptions ten seasons under contract, three of which he completed in the KHL. From 2017 to 2019, Stajnoch played a total of 92 league games for EC Red Bull Salzburg (11G|22A).

"We are pleased that we could sign Martin Stajnoch, an internationally experienced defender. He has already proven his great potential in a top international league as well as in the domestic championship. Martin is certainly an exciting option for the upcoming season as well," Linz general manager Gregor Baumgartner commented on the transfer.
