"I want to help the Red Bulls win the title. I always give everything for a win, it's in my blood," said Mike Dalhuisen upon his arrival in Salzburg. He describes himself as an "emotional player with a lot of passion. I like to raise the game and I have my qualities in the special teams. And I'm always there when it comes to standing up for teammates."

In addition, the Red Bulls' new No. 2 has plenty of experience with playoff games, "I've played in five Finals series so far, from my junior days to the pros. I know what it means to be on the ice in deciding games. I'm a playoff player."

Championship title with Esbjerg career highlight
Mike Dalhuisen was born and raised in the Netherlands, but moved with his family to Canada as an 11-year-old, where he learned to play hockey from then on. He eventually went on to play in the American Hockey League and ECHL from 2013 to 2015 via the USHL and NCAA (Quinnipiac University). In 2015, Dalhuisen returned to Europe for the first time as a 25-year-old to immediately celebrate the Danish championship title with Esbjerg Energy: "Winning the title in Denmark was just unbelievable and the best thing that happened to me."

Two years in the second Russian league VHL with Torpedo Ust-Kamenogorsk followed, as well as one season with German second-division team EC Bad Nauheim. In 2019, the defenseman finally moved to the Slovakian top league, where he joined first HK Dukla Michalovce and then HK Poprad, where he played until now.
