The 30-year-old defender spent most of his career to date with the Florida Everblades in the East Coast Hockey League. In six years, Roe established himself as a reliable mainstay in North America's third-highest division in more than 400 appearances. As a major accolade, the veteran secured the title of top performer of the season in 2017/18 with a stat line of +43. The 2019/20 season saw the next highlight for the left-shooter, who was not only selected to the ECHL All-Star team, but was also named All-Star MVP there. After three more years as an assistant captain with the Everblades and several stints in the AHL for Springfield, Manitoba and Syracuse, Roe ventured to Europe for the first time last season. There, he recorded 17 scoring points (4 goals and 13 assists) in 54 appearances for Västeras in the Swedish Allsvenskan.

Philipp Lukas, head coach of the Steinbach Black Wings Linz: "We watched Logan for a long time, got a lot of feedback and were able to get a good picture. Despite his size, Logan is a very agile player who will give our defense a lot of stability. In addition, he also has offensive potential, which makes him a good all-rounder. We are excited to have Logan on our team for the upcoming season."

Logan Roe: "I can't wait to get to Linz soon and meet my coaches, teammates and the entire organization. I will work hard to bring the fans and the city an exciting season together with the team."
