New defender for Vienna

The spusu Vienna Capitals have signed Oskar Drugge for the new season in the win2day ICE Hockey League. The 30-year-old Swede won with the Aalborg Pirates last season the Danish championship and was awarded as league’s most points scored by a defenseman with eleven goals and 38 assists.

It was Drugge's second year in Denmark, 21-22 he was under contract with the Herning Blue Fox. Prior to that, he was primarily involved in the second-highest Swedish division, but also played 36 SHL games for Timra IK in 18-19.

Last season, Drugge played for the reigning Danish champions Aalborg Pirates. With the Pirates, the offensive defenseman was able to further increase his point output: In 46 regular season games he marked 39 (10G|29A). In the playoffs, he added another ten points (1G|9A) in 16 games on his way to defending the title. In addition to winning the title, Drugge was also named to their All-Star team.
