Two Canadians Join the Sharks
HC TIWAG Innsbruck – Die Haie have signed forwards Benjamin Corbeil and Emmett Sproule. Both players are coming off strong campaigns at the University of New Brunswick, one of Canada's top talent pipelines. Over the past three seasons, they consistently delivered offensively, each averaging more than a point per game. Head coach Jordan Smotherman highlighted their on-ice chemistry – they’ve played several seasons together and are expected to make an immediate impact in Tirol.

Ljubljana Adds ICE Champion Nicolai Meyer
HK Olimpija Ljubljana have landed a high-profile signing with Nicolai Meyer. The skilled Danish forward brings championship pedigree to the Slovenian capital, having won back-to-back ICE titles with EC Red Bull Salzburg in 2022/23 and 2023/24 – including the championship-clinching goal in 2023. Meyer also boasts experience from top leagues in Sweden and Germany, as well as international appearances with the Danish national team, including the 2022 Winter Olympics.

Salzburg Extend with Hochkofler and Huber
EC Red Bull Salzburg continue to rely on stability, extending contracts with core forwards Peter Hochkofler and Mario Huber. Both players have been instrumental in the club’s recent success. Hochkofler, a veteran of over a decade with the organization, embodies grit and commitment. He appeared in every single game last season – both in the league and the Champions Hockey League – posting 11 goals and 13 assists. Huber, on the other hand, was one of Salzburg’s top scorers during the regular season, netting 14 goals.
