New signing and contract extensions at Jesenice and Ljubljana

In the past few days the two Slovenian teams of the Alps Hockey League have been busy on the transfer market. While HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice extended the contract with three players and also signed with Maj Tavcar a new player, HK SZ Olimpija Ljubljana announced the contract extension of two more players.

Jesenice signs Maj Tavcar
With the 20-year-old Maj Tavcar, HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice signed a new player for the coming season. After one and a half years in the USA, the Slovenian youth international is returning to his homeland. At Boston Jr. Bruins and Utica Jr. Comets in the NCDC, the center played 40 games in which he scored 6 goals and prepared 12 more. Before that he spent his youth career with Triglav Kranj.

In addition to signing Tavcar, the Slovenians also extended their contract with Andrej Tavzelj, Patrik Rajsar and Gasper Sersen for one season each.



Ljubljana binds Orehek and Cepon

The champion of the 2018/19 season HK SZ Olimpija Ljubljana was able to keep two more players for the coming season. While Janez Orehek's working paper was extended by two seasons, Mark Cepon will stay at the Slovenians for at least one more year. Both players are strikers and scored a total of 45 points in the past season.
