Bolzano adds veteran defenseman Philip Samuelsson
HCB Südtirol Alperia has signed defenseman Philip Samuelsson for the 2025/26 season. The 33-year-old, who holds both American and Swedish citizenship, brings a wealth of experience from top leagues such as the NHL, AHL, SHL, and DEL. Samuelsson has suited up for 563 AHL games, 13 NHL appearances, and 155 games in Sweden’s top-tier league. His previous stops include Bremerhaven, Straubing, Pittsburgh, Arizona, as well as several teams in Sweden and the Czech Republic.

Innsbruck signs Cole Moberg
HC TIWAG Innsbruck – Die Haie have inked Canadian blueliner Cole Moberg. The 24-year-old was drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks in 2019 and has since played in both the AHL and ECHL. Most recently, the right-shot defenseman was part of the Florida Everblades, helping them capture back-to-back ECHL titles. Moberg now embarks on his first professional stint in Europe.

Fehérvár boosts offense with Darren Archibald
Hydro Fehérvár AV19 has added Canadian forward Darren Archibald to its lineup for the 2025/26 season. The 35-year-old started his career in the OHL and signed with the Vancouver Canucks in 2010. Archibald played 55 NHL games with Vancouver and Ottawa, tallying 14 points while earning a reputation for his physical play. In the AHL, he became a key figure for several clubs and took on a leadership role with the Utica Comets, serving as assistant captain for three seasons and leading the team in goals in 2018/19. He also received multiple team awards during his time in Utica.
