Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey announced the contract extension of the coaching team around head coach Petri Mattila. While head coach Nik Zupančič returns to HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice, league newcomer HC Merano is working on the squad for the debut season.

Petri Mattila will remain head coach of Asiago in the upcoming AHL season. In addition to the 51-year-old Finn, who recently won the Italian championship twice, assistant coach Nicola Tessari and goalie coach Jorma Valtonen will also remain with the club.



League newcomer Meran continues to work at full speed on its squad for its first season in the Alps Hockey League. Most recently, the South Tyroleans extended the contracts of Daniel Gellon, David Pföstl, Fabian Platzer and Mattia Cassiba.



Nik Zupančič returns to HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice. The 52-year-old Slovenian coached the club in its first AHL campaign and was also head coach of VEU Feldkirch for one season.
