Jamal Watson recorded 55 points (14G|41A) for Guildford Flames in the EIHL season 21/22. The offensive defenseman was selected to the First All Star Team for his performance and received the "Jonathan Weaver Award" as the best defenceman. Previously, the Canadian played several seasons in North America, including in the Western Hockey League.

"Innsbruck is an exciting new assignment for me. I'm ready to go. I'm really looking forward to working with the coaching staff and the guys. My goal, offensively and defensively, is to support the team on both ends. I want to try to bring a lot of energy to the game, the whole organization and the fans, and then try to make the best out of it," said sharks newcomer Watson.

"Jamal is a very good skater. He plays strong on both sides, has top character, and will definitely be fun for the fans to watch with the way he plays," commented Head Coach Mitch O'Keefe on the transfer.
