HC Fassa Falcons vs. EC-KAC II 3-6 (1:2; 1:3; 1:1)
Referees:  MORI, T. PAHOR, Miklic, Rigoni.

The Fassa couldn’t have Lauton, Constantin, Thum and Oberrauch. The start of the game was certainly in favour of the Austrians who, at the first superiority, scored the first goal with Valetin Hammerle after Martin Gran has missed his chance in penalty killing. But Fassa remained in the game when Hochegger and Kompain were in penalty bench in the same time: Massimo Zanet deflected a great shot by Diego Iori for the draw of the home team in double superiority (12'). But after four minutes Michael Kernberger scored again for the visitors. In the second half, after just 35 seconds, Fabian Hochegger realized 3:1 for a very determined Klagenfurt-II. Simon Hammerle certified the power of the Austrians for 4:1 (24.). Fassa played their game but Vorauer was very careful in the net. The greater athletic freshness allowed to the EC-KAC II to take the 5:1 again with Fabian Hochegger with a great shot.  But Fassa didn’t' look at the board as they played with more intensity. Martin Castlunger shortened the distance with a goal of good technical. In the third period the Falcons played with such intensity but produced only one goal with Davide Schiavone (PP). The final pressure was all of the Falcons but Klagenfurt-II fixed the final score at 6:3 with Michael Kernberger's empty net goal. The Austrians consolidated their 15th place in the standings. This defeat was the 16th consecutive of the Fassa that remained at the last place in the standings. On Saturday the two teams will be back on the rink. Klagenfurt-2 will be in Milan while Fassa will be in Zell am See.
