Finnish forward Ville Leskinen joins HK SZ Olimpia for a month on trial, with the possibility of an extension. This is to strengthen the offensive game of the Slovenian representative of the win2day ICE Hockey League.

Ville Leskinen has played 204 games in Liiga, the strongest Finnish league, and the last two seasons in the Slovak league, where he played for HKM Zvolen and HC Košice. In 97 games he scored 72 points, including 32 goals. He also won the Slovak championship with Košice.

"Ville is a hardworking winger with a good shot. I am sure that he will be a great help for us even with more or less players. I know him from the Slovak league, where we played against him in the playoffs and he proved to be a strong and resilient opponent. Therefore, it was an easy decision to sign him in this short time, especially since he was very eager to join our team," Upi Karhula said about Leskinen's arrival in Ljubljana.

VSV binds Elias Wallenta long-term

EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV binds an Austrian youngster early for the next two seasons: Elias Wallenta, the 24-year-old native of Vorarlberg in the dress of the Blue-Whites, has extended his current contract early until the end of the season 2025/2026,.

"Elias is a player who has excellent fitness and is very versatile on the ice. Through his skating qualities, he creates a lot of good scoring chances. He has a lot of potential and I am sure that he can develop into a top Austrian with us," said EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV team manager Andreas Napokoj about the long-term extension of the contract.
