The 20-year-old Canadian was most recently involved in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, where he played in the Moncton Wildcats in the past season and achieved a GAA of 2.32. Because of his performances, he was also part of the Canadian U-20 national team that won the gold medal at the last World Cup - Rodrigue did not play a game, however. In 2018 the goalie was drafted into the NHL by the Edmonton Oilers in 62nd place.

The newcomer has already landed in Graz and has already trained with the team. Whether he will play against HC TIWAG Innsbruck - Die Haie on Friday is not yet confirmed.
