Mark Cepon of HK SZ Olimpija got suspended for one game because of an incident deemed as fighting.

According to the Arbitrator and having considered the video evidence , player Mark Cepon (#27) of HK SZ Olimpija , will receive supplementary discipline under rule 141 – Fighting.
On November 14th in Ljubljana, an incident occurred involving Ljubljana player #27 Mark Cepon which is deemed Aggressor in a fight.

As the video shows, Sterzing player #82 Dante Hannoun delivers a legal body check on Ljubljana player #17 Miha Logar behind the net. #27 Mark Cepon, for no apparent reason, skates a lengthy distance to engage in a fisticuff type manner with Hannoun, who is an unwilling combatant. At no time in the modern game is this type of action permitted. Considering the teams have been told, fighting, roughing and altercations has been clearly defined for supplementary discipline purposes and there is no reason for this type of physical actions, Cepon will receive supplementary discipline.

Moving forward, after Wednesday, 11.18.2020, this type of action will be a minimum 3 game suspension with a possibility of season ban and all additional players that engage in altercations, gatherings or fighting will also be suspended.

In the event Cepon, engages in activity deemed as aggressor, instigator or fighting for the remainder of the 2020/2021 season, he will be considered a repeat offender and disciplined with a minimum 5 game suspension or more dependant on the circumstances.

§ 15. Procedural Changes Department of Players Safety of the COVID-19 Appendix to the Game Book of the Alps Hockey League states:
In additon to these paragraphs (Game Book Part I - II. Substanstive Law - § 2 Disciplinary Measures and Directives) DOPS will be strict on altercations, fights, roughing and all other situations, where players do not adhere to the principles of preventng a possible infection with the COVID virus. Until further notice DOPS will have the possibility to suspend players with an automatic one game suspension without sending the situation in question to the Player Safety Commitee.
Effective immediately, Mark Cepon (#27) of HK SZ Olimpija is suspended for 1 game.

From the perspective of DOPS and according to the AHL Penalty Catalog Ref. Nr. 154 - Fighting - Instigator or Aggressor, Mark Cepon (#27) of HK SZ Olimpija , is suspended for 1 game, effective immediately.
