EK Die Zeller Eisbären celebrated their ninth consecutive win and therefore also started the playoffs successfully. In a fairly tight game against Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan, the team from Pinzgau prevailed 4–1 in front of more than 1,900 fans. With eleven and a half minutes remaining, the score was still tied at 1–1, but goals from Christian Jennes (49’), Alexander Lahoda (52’) and Tim Coffman (58’/EN) eventually secured a clear home victory on the scoreboard. Sterzing had actually taken the lead through Connor Sanvido in the 6th minute and it took until the 31st minute for the hosts to equalize through Kilian Rappold. In the sixth meeting of the season, it was the fifth win for the Polar Bears.

Sisak with narrow home win against Cortina
KHL Sisak celebrated a narrow 2–1 victory over S.G. Cortina Hafro. Nearly 1,600 fans attended the game and were able to celebrate for the first time in the 13th minute when Danila Larionovs scored for 1–0. In the 26th minute the Croatians extended their lead to 2–0 through Marijus Dumcius, but Cortina reduced the deficit later in the second period as Jacob Stoffling scored on the power play (36’/PP1). In the final period the Italians clearly controlled the play with a 15–4 advantage in shots on goal, but Sisak goalie Vilim Rosandic could not be beaten again and finished the night with 47 saves on 48 shots.

Meran steals home-ice advantage from Asiago
HC Meran/o Pircher recorded the only road win of the day at HC Migross Asiago. In the 4–2 victory, the South Tyroleans took the lead already in the third minute through Daniel Gellon, and Filip Cruseman made it 2–0 in the 30th minute. In the final period Asiago improved in front of 1,300 fans and even equalized thanks to a double from Nick Porco (44’ & 48’). However, just one and a half minutes later Meran regained the lead through Reid Stefanson and this time the hosts had no answer. Nick Rein eventually sealed the final score with an empty-net goal 67 seconds before the end of the game.
