On Wednesday, the first game day after the national team break, three matches were decided by just one goal. EC-KAC and HC Pustertal each celebrated two-goal victories. The South Tyroleans prevailed 5–3 against Olimpija Ljubljana in a nearly sold-out Intercable Arena, further strengthening their position at the top of the standings.

On Friday, nearly 20,000 fans flocked to the five games (all arenas were filled to over 80 percent capacity) and witnessed only home victories. The battle for the top spot tightened once again: while Pustertal earned just one point in Linz, Ljubljana managed to turn their match against Bolzano around.

Two thrilling local derbies added to the electrifying atmosphere. In the first Hungarian derby in league history, Hydro Fehérvár AV19 claimed a clear 5–1 win over FTC-Telekom in front of 5,100 spectators. Things were much closer in the 360th Carinthian Derby: EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV defeated EC-KAC 5–3 after a fierce battle in a sold-out Villach Stadthalle. With the victory, the Blue-and-Whites climbed into the top six, pushing reigning champion EC Red Bull Salzburg out after they suffered their fourth straight loss in Graz.
