With adding Paul Geiger to the roster for the upcoming season, Hydro Fehérvár AV19 presented its first new arrival. After about three years in the ECHL resp. AHL, the 27-year-old started his career abroad at HCB Südtirol Alperia in the 2018-19 season, playing 55 games (4G | 14A). Past year he was part of Vaasan Sport in Finland’s first division, where he played on the side of former Bolzano and Vienna center Chris DeSousa. Overall, he finished his first Liiga season with 13 points (8G | 5A).

“I felt like Fehérvár was going to be a great opportunity for me to come in and make an impact on and off the ice. After talking with the coaches and staff, they want to create a winning culture here in Fehérvár, take the next step to consistently reaching the playoffs. I want to be a part of that and believe I can help this team take that next step. Another big factor for me was Tim Campbell, he was my defense partner in Bolzano he told me great things about the organization, how the players were treated, and the great fans. Getting another chance to play with a friend like Tim, I didn’t want to turn that down”, Paul Geiger said.
