Pavlin strengthens Pustertal temporarily

Former Slovenian international Ziga Pavlin signed on with the HC Pustertal Wölfe. The 37-year-old received a one-month contract with the South Tyroleans to give Emil Kristensen the necessary time to recover from his upper body injury. Pavlin was still under contract with HC 05 Banská Bystrica until the beginning of January.

Pavlin is no stranger in Italy, he was active in "young years" with Ritten and played before his foreign career with Ljubljana in the then EBEL. In his long career he played in Sweden (Allsvenskan and Elitserien), Kazakhstan, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Italy and of course Slovenia. Last season, the 1.93 m tall defenseman was assistant captain of Tomek Valtonen's (Dukla Michalovce). Until the beginning of January, Pavlin played with Bystrica (Extraliga Slovakia).

The 8-time World Cup and 2-time Olympic participant has already arrived in Bruneck and will already make the trip to Vienna as of now. On Saturday the Wolves will face the spusu Vienna Capitals in the STEFFL Arena.
